Come From Away

I opened the door to shoo the p-hen into the barn this evening and found these two like this. Bardy (the big Barred Rock Rooster) lets Pengu (she looked just like a penguin when she hatched) sit on his back at night. Today was not the first time that I saw them this way, but today they were in a good spot to grab a picture.

The horses take a nap together every afternoon now that the weather has warmed up. Apparently, the best place to have a snooze is in the bathroom area. It makes one wake contented and “fresh.”

Here are some pics of Portobello and Jezebelle playing together. The love each other and run around together at least once a day.

“Did one of you kids not eat your apple that I lovingly put into your lunch?!”

For some reason this is funnier when it happens to a pig than when it’s a dog.

The poor guy was all hot and steamy when we pulled it off and we were quite concerned for him (after we stopped laughing). I can’t tell you if he learned his lesson or not. We will have to wait and see.
